CBC reports that Ivanka and Eric Trump missed the October 9, 2015 deadline to register in the New York Republican primary and therefore cannot vote for their father.
Donald Trump was reported saying this to Fox and Friends:
“They had a long time register and they were, you know, unaware of the rules…I think they have to register a year in advance and they didn’t. So Eric and Ivanka I guess won’t be voting…”

- Maybe Eric an Ivanka really are the good kids that are portrayed in the media, as they know better than to vote for their father.
- Or maybe, Eric and Ivanka, two leaders at the Trump Organization are just incompetent. You have a year to register to vote so your father can become President, and you don’t know the rules, and you’re also reportedly advising him? Yes, Donald, you really surround yourself by the best people.
- Maybe Donald Trump isn’t as good at negotiating deals as he says he is when he can’t even get two of his own adult kids to vote for him.
