are you ready ? befana is cooming
Hallo folk, are you ready for the last party of Christmas time. This event will close all the winter vacations and -luckily or unluckily- we will return to the normal life.I hope your Epiphany stocking is clean and ready but above all I hope it is very very big. As in other country this old woman -called Befena- comes in every home during the night and if you have been a good fellow, she leaves you some candies and sweets, but if you have been bad boy/ girl....alas! Only black coal.
I wanna write you a very famous Italian filastrocca = nursery rhyme for this occasion.
La befana vien di notte con le scarpe tutte rotte… Vien dal cielo con la scopae sui tetti pian si posa, e poi scende piano e lesta dai camini con la cesta.
La befana é una vecchietta un po’ brutta poveretta, ma ai bambini poco importa se la cesta é colma colma tutta piena di regali, dolci, treni, bamboline per riempire le calzine.
La befana con la cesta cerca, cerca la calzetta e soltanto ai bimbi buoni lei ci mette tanti doni ma a chi é stato un po’ birbone, lei la colma con carbone.
La befana é già sul tetto presto bimbi tutti a letto! Lasciam sola la vecchietta a riempire la calzetta, che doman di buon mattino
scopriremo il regalino!
