In today’s fast changing corporate world, where multi-tasking is a prevalent working condition, the question now is how healthy is your job?

Does your job affect your life dramatically? Do you stay late at night in the office, work during your day-off, bring work at home or perhaps while in bed, your mind can’t get way from thinking about your work.

Do you always worry that things might not result well at work?  Do you always feel on the rush when you are in the office?  Do you still have time to eat? To have coffee break or read newspaper? Do you take your lunch on time?

Or to be direct, “IS YOUR WORK KILLING YOU?”

Statistics shows that work related stress is one of the leading causes of heart disease worldwide.  It is linked to depression and sleep disorders among men and women.  It is likewise linked to the quickening progression of HIV/AIDS patients.

Do you experience the Friday and Monday syndrome? When you wish that is gonna be Friday or wish that Sunday would end long.  Then you are at risk or perhaps experiencing works stress.  Time to re-assess your priorities.

Work stress does not only affect our health, it affects our relationship with our loved ones.  Did you missed dinner dates or anniversaries or birthdays? Do you often miss school activities of your children?  Does your work prevent you from attending Parents Teachers meeting or family day at school?  Or missed fetching your kids at school in the afternoon? Or worst, missed the graduation of your children?   Then again, its time to re-assess your priorities.

Again, I ask, “IS YOUR WORK DESTROYING YOUR FAMILY?

Recently, I am faced into re-assessing myself, if its killing me or destroying my family.  And now I am faced with this great challenge…  We all have our priorities and it all depends which we give more importance, your work, your health or your family.

For us in the corporate world, it’s time to re-assess our priorities…
