It’s More Fun to swim under the Rainbow in Iligan

March 29, 2012 marks my nth visit to the hidden beauty of Iligan---Tinago Falls. The same falls where KC Concepcion and Sam Milby had a shoot in their movie “Forever and a Day” last year.  I first visited the falls when I was a working student in a family over at Ditucalan. Since the falls is located in Ditucalan, it would be a regretful thought if I didn’t took advantage of the opportunity, right? So yes I visited the falls with Kuya Jay-ar, the only son of the family where I worked. When I became a member of the Iligan Bloggers Society Inc., last year, since then, almost every week I tend to visit the place. Why? Friends from all over the Philippines and other country around the world who have read my blog got captivated by Tinago’s beauty. Some of them asked me to accompany them to Tinago---of course, who am I to say “no”?  Below is a photo of the group of whom I took during their recent visit of the place. Obviously, they enjoyed it so much including me J

They say, at the end of the rainbow there is a pot of gold.
What if, at the end of the rainbow you can find them?

Secondly, travel bloggers from all over the Philippines come and visit Iligan City. As an active blogger and the author behind www.chooseiligancity.com which is a blog dedicated to promote Iligan, obviously I am proud with the City---not just proud, but I LOVE Iligan soooo much! The hangin habagat brought Bernie the blogger behindhabagatcentral.com  to Iligan on November of 2011, who encourages every individual to not just see the world but be part of it. James of journeyingjames.com a solo backpacker, who intends to conquer the entire 7,000 islands of the country the cheapest possible, worshipped and glorified the enchanting beauty of Tinago Falls yesterday. A group of friends he met in the Shelter Box village was with us. So it was a treat for the group who endured during Sendong. I am honored and deeply overjoyed being part of their journey here in Iligan.

What is more amazing about swimming in Tinago Falls?Aside from the blue crystal clear water and the cool breeze that will greet you once you are at the bottom. It’s the rainbow that will display its natural beauty around 3 to 4 o’clock in the afternoon. I have never been to a waterfall that a rainbow is always there to show-off! For me, you can only enjoy that in Tinago. Of course not all are able to witness this great display of beauty of the falls. With the absence of the sun, the rainbow is gone. So if you want to see the seven colors you have to recite the infamous chant “rain, rain, go away, come again another day.” So you can enjoy the fun of swimming under the rainbow in Iligan.
