It looks like the line in the sand has been drawn. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Captain America 3 will be facing off against Batman vs. Superman on May 6th, 2016.
It will be interesting to see if Warner Bros will back off from this date now that they know what their competition will be, and also speaks to Marvel’s confidence in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
It’s hard to imagine both films opening the same weekend, but if they do, that will be one hell of a weekend battle, and will be sucking the pockets dry of many move goers who would catch them both opening weekend. (I myself being one of those).
So what do you think about this news? I’m definitely excited to see both these films, and after the lukewarm response that Man of Steel received, along with the lukewarm reaction to Ben Affleck’s casting I’m curious to see if Warner Bros is as confident in their film as Marvel apparently is.
