Isobel's Legs on Film

Isobel's legs on film
At last - here it is. Isobel's incredible walking legs make their debut on Vimeo.

See the excited little jig she does at the end of the film? Is that not testimony of Isobel's knowledge of the huge achievement she's making?
Once she's mastered the walking motions, I imagine the next step is for Isobel to work out how to distribute the center of gravity in her upper body effectively, so that she can learn to walk independently.
Of course, to expect fast results would be unrealistic. Neither can I pinpoint the exact age at which she will walk. After all, Isobel has been practicing standing for well over a year, and she's still not quite doing that independently either.
(That said, her determination to stand whatever the circumstances - be it placing her in the Triton chair, or lying her on her back - is obvious. And upon doing so, you can tell by the wide grin she gives that she loves the challenge she's setting you. Cheeky little minx.)
Even so, the increasing clarity of her movements, however exaggerated they may appear - is a reflection of growing confidence while Isobel familiarises herself with the connections her brain must make with various parts of her body in order to co-ordinate more efficiently.
Stay tuned. You never know what Isobel will surprise us with next.
