After getting a liberal arts degree, I worked as a sales clerk in a high end department store. I know there are countless people who see things from the customer's point of view, no matter how unreasonable. They expect sales clerks to be perpetually smiling doormats who will even risk their jobs to please a customer. These people expect sales people to smile when juvenile managers throw them under the bus just to play the hero or take another step up the corporate ladder.
This book is from the point of view of a minimum wage sales clerk who survived two Black Fridays and frequently watches three departments and is scolded for not being in three places at once among other things.
For those of you who respect the retail sales clerks who do their jobs, but still get in trouble for politely following the rules, take a look at this book!
