Introducing "Angie Eats _____!" - A New Series

By Livingthedreamrtw @livingdreamrtw
How do you find great food when you’re traveling? Do you wander the streets aimlessly, hoping that you’ll serendipitously stumble across a hole in the wall that turns out to be a true gem? Although this sounds romantic and lovely, more often than not, it ends in disaster or at least an unsatisfied stomach. We have certainly done our fair share of that type of foraging for food, but we are here today to announce a new feature on our blog that will hopefully help fellow travelers in their search for great food and restaurants around the world.
Our new series is entitled “Angie Eats ____!”, a food guide to the world's best cities! The goal of this series is to give you a guide to all of the best places to find the must-eat local food and specialties unique to the city or region- and to put all this info on one convenient map. Too many times we have had a list of great restaurants with addresses, but trying to locate them on a map and plan out the route can seem like it takes forever when you’re hungry!

What all will be included?  Here are just a few to start:
  • Street food
  • Local specialties
  • Affordable gems
  • Best places to splurge ($$$)
  • Bakeries
  • Desserts/ice cream
  • Bars/places for a night out on the town
An additional feature of the maps will be that each type of restaurant outlined above will be color-coded.  For example, a New York City map in "Angie Eats New York City!" may have red dots for pizza joints, blue for bagel shops, and so on.
Before we visit the cities in the guide, we will post all of the potential places we will try to hit, and of course welcome any feedback from anyone who has opinions on the places or recommendations for others we may have missed. Then, once we have been to the city we will post a map of the places we tried and reviews of each so you can plan your own culinary adventure!
Our first entry into this series "Angie Eats New York City!" is coming soon!  To keep up-to-date with all entries into this new series, check out the Angie Eats sidebar in our categories on the right hand side of this page.
