These are only some characteristics that describe the successful wedding professional Jasmine Lazzari, who is the founder and creative director of the Wedding Co. The Wedding Co. was established in 2007 and is a creative event design, planning and production company in Portugal that offers a range of unsurpassed services to clients from all over the world and from diverse religious backgrounds and cultures. They offer plenty of the most specialized services such as photographers, calligraphy and illustration, musicians, magicians etc... The talented Jasmine Lazzari and her passion for arts flourished when she opened the wedding company. She sets perfectly every single wedding with delicate features and unique details and she really lives every celebration of love to the fullest. We had the opportunity to get to know her more through the interview that we're sharing with you today! Enjoy!
How did you get into wedding planning?It was a natural process as I worked for a luxury PR agency and we hosted events for our clients. I wanted to branch out into an area that had not been discovered, so I after some extensive research, I launched in 2007. The aim was and has always been that my team and I provide an exclusive experience for select couples looking to have a beautiful bespoke wedding.
What do brides need to keep in mind for their wedding day?Being fully present makes such a difference in the overall experience. There are so many exciting moments and with all the guests and everything happening around the bride, it's just important to take in those valuable moments and be as present as possible. Also, if the weather changes, not to be affected by this. It's beyond anyone's control, and of course, we always have a Plan B ready.
Tell us about a wedding trend you are excited about at the moment?I love collaborating with artists to develop a truly bespoke wedding. We've been working with Naomi from Kinship Press to create works of art (literally) and loved seeing the couple and their friends' reactions. They make a big impact and the pattern can be used as wallpaper or cushion covers.
What's is the motto you live by professionally?Attention to detail, dedication, determination, kindness and hard work.
What do you still want to achieve professionally?I would love to produce a wedding in an unusual location or somewhere like the South of Italy. I fell in love with Sicily on a recent trip, and I could imagine doing an incredible destination wedding there. Even after so many years, and always learning I truly feel the sky is the limit, so it's difficult to pin down one thing.
Who has influenced you the most in your career?I've been fortunate to meet a few key people in the wedding industry that have and are still not only inspirational but so important for me. They all show the values that I highly regards whilst being graceful and hard working. I love to hear them speak and admire their work, spark and resilience! Wendy El Khoury, Christina Holt, Lisa Vorce, Marcy Blum, and Bryan Rafanelli.
If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?To learn boundaries with clients. It's ok not to be on call 24 / 7 and things get dealt with the next day. The need to always be on call meant we had to rethink how to communicate with our demanding clients.
What book are you reading at the moment?I have about a few going at the same time! The bluest Eye (Toni Morrison), Wolf Hall ( Hilary Mantel), Unnatural Causes ( Dr. R Shepard) and Men without Women ( Haruki Murakami).

What is the best advice you received about social media?Wendy El Khoury is my go-to on all social media. She is spot on with so many tricky aspects, I just wish she lived closer! (She lives in Australia!).
What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your job?The more dedicated the work and amount of energy and passion poured into a project, the better the outcome. However, don't ever expect the client to shower you with praise, each person has their own way of showing gratitude, and we are only doing our job.
Who inspires you?The list is endless and I'm always discovering new people! In this industry mainly the people I've mentioned, but also artists and business leaders are hugely inspirational.
One moment, one person or project that marked your career?Thankfully many moments as I've met so many incredible couples that have been so kind and generous. That's one of my favourite aspects of my work. This year we pulled off a creative artistic installation which we produced for a wedding, something quite complex on a logistical lever and never before had anyone done this, and all outdoors. It was a huge success.

If you weren't a wedding planner you would be ...An interior designer. I absolutely love everything interior, fabrics, colour palettes, designs. I love seeing how the interior design world and fashion is so interlinked and I'm constantly looking for inspiration in magazines and Instagram.
Are there any trends that you especially love?We've been quite lucky to have mainly outdoor weddings, but when the months are not weather ideal, we do have in door weddings. That means taking the outdoors into an indoor area. So for an early May wedding we held, that's literally what we did. Meaning we had tree installations and made the indoor room resemble a wild overgrown garden. Guests adore feeling like they are outdoors, so it's important to keep as many natural elements as possible. A lot of small candles do the trick, and I've also noticed candle light being favoured over huge floral installations. I'm a big fan of candles! I also love collaborating with stationery artists such as Naomi from Kinship Press and Stephanie Fishwick. A wedding instantly becomes more unique to the couple and the imagination that goes into building a moodboard for the wedding alongside these amazing professionals is incredibly satisfying.
Which is the personal touch that IS ALWAYS present at weddings you design and plan?Curated florals and an impeccable table setting. I always recheck everything before the guests arrive and I'm mildly obsessed about everything that's on a table.
What's the most spectacular wedding you have ever put together?In terms of visuals there's been a few, but it's difficult to pin down because what makes a wedding spectacular in the end is often a combination of incredible weather, the energy that the couple give and just that feeling of complete flow.
What has been your favorite celebrity wedding?I loved Kate Moss's wedding and the photos. It looked natural, so timeless and super stylish.
Any exciting new projects you are planning in the near future?We have a few very exciting new projects, but for now they are under wraps!
