We're so excited today to share with you the interview with the talented, creative designer Christine Traulich by Redbliss Design! Christine is the person who can completely transform your wedding into a dream with her stunning creations. From incredible invitations, hard-finish Chroma chargers/placemats to unique stationery, her work is simply impressive! If you want your invitation to enthusiast and prepare your guests for what it follows, then you have to match it with the style and concept of your wedding. Trust Christine who will complete the idea with a drop-dead gorgeous table, adorned with metallic, lavish placemats, flowers and other shiny details. It was such an honor that gave us the chance to ask her a few questions and find out a little bit more about her personality and her stunning designs!
WHEN DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU WANTED TO BE A DESIGNER?
"I think it started in second grade, but I wasn't necessarily aware of it at the time. I had a crush on a boy and made him a special one-of-a-kind beaded ornament as a gift. Took me hours. He hated it of course and I was more devastated that I couldn't have it back. I was proud of what I had created."
WHAT IS THE PROUDEST MOMENT OF YOUR CAREER?
"It was back in 2005 when we were the first invitation designer ever selected for the Modern Bride Trendsetter award. As we were only three years old at the time, it gave me the confidence to continue building our business and creating work that pushed the limits of traditional invitation design. The second proudest moment was when I appeared on the TODAY Show because it made my parents so excited."
TELL US ABOUT YOUR LUXURY WEDDING INVITATIONS. WHAT REALLY MAKE THEMS STAND OUT?
"We implore our clients to tell their story through design. We buck norms and trends and go deep on personal details and meaningful expression. That's why when you look through our portfolio, there is no singular style or approach to our work. We believe each creative journey hinges on big ideas and tiny details."
WHICH ONE OF YOUR CHARGERS IS THE MOST POPULAR?
"Our Nexus Chroma reversible charger is our most popular design! Last month, we took our top four designs and made them available to rent for weddings and events as part of our Reserve Collection. They include Nexus, Concord, Harmony and Moxie. You can view them here."
WHERE DO YOU FIND YOUR INSPIRATION?
"Three places: architecture, fashion and nature. I love the work of Zaha Hadid and Iris Van Herpen. And three walls of my studio have floor-to-ceiling windows looking out at trees, water and wildlife. This serenity is my go-to genesis for inspiration."
FAVORITE QUOTE YOU LIVE BY....
"There are two. The first one inspired me to start my business in the first place. It is from Henry David Thoreau "If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours." And the second is a belief I hold dear, a quote from Jack Kerouac, "Be in love with your life, every minute of it.""
