Inspirational Songs

By Advsinwtloss @advsinwtloss
I'm sure my idea of an inspirational song is different than yours. Your musical tastes might not be the same as mine either. I know I'm not as much as a country fan as I once was but I still consider myself a Garth Brooks fan, so I have to include him here because he's made so many great inspirational songs that can apply to a weight loss journey.
Here are a list of songs that I find inspirational and that are very important to me when it comes to inspiring me to keep going on my journey if I need it, for my walks, or to just inspire me to keep keeping on. I might be doing a series of these but here are some songs for now, in no particular order
Alive - Meat Loaf

It's My Life - BonJovi

Do It Our Way (Play) by Alesha Dixon feat. real members of Weight Watchers

One Moment In Time - Whitney Houston

Standing Outside The Fire - Garth Brooks
(All I could find was a homemade video with the song)

This is the Moment - From the musical Jekyll and Hyde sung by Anthony Warlow

(All I could find was a live video)

Do What You Gotta Do - Garth Brooks

The River - Originally recorded by Garth Brooks, but all I could find is the Scotty McCreery version

It's a Good Life If You Don't Weaken - The Tragically Hip

I Run For Life - Melissa Etheridge
(I couldn't find the official video. I figure the Oprah version was good enough)

You may question why I put the last one on there. It's kinda a downer. Well, it's here because it reminds me that there are far worse things to overcome in the world than my weight and the fact so many people have beat cancer is an inspiration in itself.
I think that's enough for now. I'm sure you've noticed that not all of them are fast tempo songs so you might not want to put them in your Ipod for your next work out. You may want to add them to your workout play list or not. Maybe just save them for a rainy day or even not listen to them at all. All I know is I love music and it can be very powerful and these songs have encouraged me and pushed me many times in my life when I needed it.
Enjoy!
As always, thanks for reading.
