Hi everyone!!
Today, meet Cathryn of Oopsie Daisies Nails!
Indie Sunday - Oopsie Daisies Nails
When did your love for polish begin?Back in 2009 my makeup savvy best friend bought me a bottle of China Glaze BFF. I didn’t even know polishes could look like that!  BFF is a holo, so I was blown away. I wanted more and more and I started looking into them and collecting a few here and there.  I decided to create a blog as well and that really set my love of polish in motion.
What made you decide to start your own polish line?
Indies were beginning to boom. I had spoken to close friends and family about it and had a lot of encouragement.  I didn’t plan on actually selling originally; I just wanted to create some polishes that I hadn’t seen before. They saw them and told me “those would sell!” It instantly became something I wanted to do. It just made sense for me at the time and I’m glad I decided to venture into it!
What's the inspiration behind the colors you create?
In simplest terms, things I like.  I like Greek Mythology, so the Mt. Olympus collection was born.  I love video games soPlanetside 2, Earthbound and Animal Crossing: Countryside Critters were made.  Same goes with nature collection, holiday collections as well.  Hocus Pocus is not just my favorite Halloween movie, it’s one of my favorite movies in existence – the Sanderson Sisters collection was created.  I pull things from the bigger picture that I’ve always been drawn to and then transform them into the polishes.  Creating is my absolute favorite part of the whole experience.
How many polishes do you have in your stash?
Ohhhh boy. Last time I counted I was around 580… I haven’t counted recently but I have two Helmers full except one drawer which has some room in it.  When it gets to that point, you become a lot more discerning in what you buy.  Only so many concepts come out anymore that appeal to me.  So instead of buying a whole collection, I’ll pick just the one I like the most.  Otherwise you end up with a ton of near-dupes!
What is your favorite polish brand? (Besides your own, of course)I have a few. Ironically I wear crèmes almost exclusively.  I wear my polishes for wear tests and durability, but I love crèmes and how they look on my hands.  I LOVE OPI’s, China Glaze for crèmes.  I also have a love affair with Sinful Colors and Essie. And Zoya. And Essence. :D
