Akshat Singh, the 8 year old dance prodigy from Kolkata (Calcutta) has not only become a popular face in Indian TV, but has also gone internationally.
He was a contestant on India’s Got Talent aired on Colors TV and has reached the semi-finals.
Recently, Akshat Singh performed on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’. He debuted on the show riding a small motorbike. Dressed in an Indian police outfit, he showed off his Bollywood style moves for which he received standing ovation.
He spoke to the show host Ellen DeGeneres in broken English about how he went to India’s Got Talent to show that motus (chubby people) can also dance. He further said that he dances three hours every day and then eats a lot. “Agar gaadi me petrol nai jaega to gaadi kaise chalega (If there is no petrol in the car, how will the car run)?”
Akshat’s parents were also present in the audience.
The host of the show Ellen also shook a leg with the 8 year old dance prodigy before gifting him a small bike with Akshat’s name.
Ellen DeGeneres is an American stand-up comedian, actress and a television host. Her famous chat show ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ has interviewed famous people like the US President Barack Obama, Bradley Cooper, Cameron Diaz and David Beckham.
