In the Studio: A Few More Dahlias

By Pattyhankins @PattyHankins

Continuing with the dahlias in the studio from last week – the same week I photographed the It’s a Girl and Peach and White Dahlias, I photographed some wonderful red and red/yellow dahlias.

For the Red and yellow dahlia, I had fun trying to capture the texture and shape of the flower all while showing the variations in the petals.

And for the red dahlia – I tried to capture some different shades in what appeared to be almost a solidly colored blossom
