I’m stuck in the house of sick.
It’s yuck.
Two out of the three chillrun are home ill today and I’m skipping work to wipe noses, deliver water and respond to all other whines of “Mum. Mum. Mum. Mummm. Mummm. Mummmmmmmmmmm”. Heading slowly and surely for Glen-20 induced psychosis. All the time willing myself not to catch the lurgy ’cause I just don’t do sick well. At all.
I’m washing my hands lots, turning my head away from open mouthed coughs (how many times you you have to try and enforce the ‘cover your mouth when you cough’ rule before they learn?) and laundering lots of towels and sheets. Not much more to do is there? Oh, except find an unoccupied bed to hide under and fantasise of running away until good health returns!
