Tell me that when you bite into that first cherry of the season and spit out the pit, you don't flash, even for a moment, on The Witches of Eastwick. I used to not like cherries, can you believe it? (I attribute this to the horrid "cherry-flavored" children's medicines I grew up with.) We enjoyed an amazing dessert of fresh black cherries served over ice at a restaurant last week, but I haven't been able to find them in markets here. Pictured above are red cherries; they're like candy. I also like Bing and Rainier varieties.
Posting may be a bit light this week, as I'm having some major work done...on the blog, bien sur.
Hint.
Don't worry, I'm working with pros. We're down to finishing touches. I hope to be able to reveal the results soon. Stay tuned!
What are your favorite cherry varieties?
