Imran KhanPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan has said that the only thing that can lead his party to a defeat in forthcoming general elections is the unmerited distribution of party tickets.

While addressing to a mass rally in Swat Valley on Sunday where some party workers came out with black flags to mark their protest against the unfair distribution of party tickets, Imran Khan assured that the tickets will be given on merit and announced to monitor the ticket distribution process himself.

The PTI chief promised to establish peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the tribal region after coming into power, saying the people of these regions rendered scarifies but peace couldn’t be established.

Imran Khan said that because of his demand to sort out terrorism issue with dialog, the rulers labeled him Taliban Khan but now those themselves are calling for peace talks.

The cricketer-turned-politician said that because of no family dynasties, PTI is the only democratic party in Pakistan, adding the party will award the 25% tickets to youth.

“There are no other democratic political parties in Pakistan because they function under family dynasties. Members will elect PTI leaders. Youth will be encouraged and new leadership will be introduced. Twenty-five percent tickets will be awarded to candidates under the age of 35 years,” said Imran.
