The intra-party elections of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are continued as Imran Khan has been elected as the chairman of the party unopposed.
Imran Khan had filed nomination papers for the slot on Monday. However, no other candidate filed nomination papers to challenge him. .
Addressing to a gathering of newly-elected party office bearers at the PTI office in Islamabad after submitting his nomination papers, Imran Khan said he is not the lifetime head of PTI and have only two terms.
“I will not be a lifetime head of this party because it is against democratic norms and values,” he said.
While speaking to media today, Imran Khan said the history of Pakistan is going to be changed on March 23, for which he had been struggling from 17 years.
He said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is going to hold the historical elections and they should have to bar non-taxpayers and defaulters from partaking into the election.
