I am so tired today! but, I manage to visit the mall today after a rough ride to Brgy. Mainit giving out 200 packs/bags of school supplies to the five Day Care Centers of the aforementioned Barangay. The school supplies and the food that we fed to the children are courtesy of www.traveljams.com and www.adventuresinlife.blogspot.com ... Anyway, I just discovered something that amazed me...Well obviously its about this food store over at the Food Court of Gaisano City Super Mall in Iligan City----the DIMSUM. What surprised me is this.... Yes! You read it right. Less Fifty percent (50%) on all food items! How? and Why? Its like this! I got this friend whom I accompany with to the mall to buy some food for [his brothers birthday] later did I know. So, as I just arrived from the activity over at Brgy. Mainit and he came from a make-up class I decided to go to the food court where he was waiting. Hmmm..."I can't go away from the food court cause I am waiting at exactly 6:30 and I got number sixteen (16) on the line," my friend told me. I was puzzled, but I just nodded as a sign of agreement. Maybe I was not in the right mind to ask "why?"cause I just feel so out of breath as I just arrived. Then we went to this cellphone stall nearby just to check something "like a plan thing." Then at exactly 6:30 we went back to this store. There was this girl who were reciting numbers in a very loud shout! Then this friend of mine suddenly looks like bothered. He was looking for the line...so I just stood nearby waiting for him. I was then curious of the commotion that I just observed and my curious mind started to work! "There is something in this group of people who are seemed to be excited!" I thought of it... Later on, I found this woman who was standing behind at the line and started to ask her questions. Ahhh! Ohmmm!... Yes it was true! Before 6:30 it is normal for people to flock in front of the store because they are giving out priority numbers to those people who wishes to avail their fifty percent (50%) less of all the food items that they are selling or offering. According to the customers that I interviewed, at around 4:30 to 5:30 every afternoon the store will be releasing priority numbers to those people waiting. When customers got their priority numbers, all they have to do is wait until 6:30 in the evening. Only then, the store will sell all the left overs at 50% less. One customer told me that the food is still at its best quality. Its just that the management of the said store do not want to waste the food and just let it be thrown if not all sold. Another woman told me that she spends almost a thousand pesos everyday for her four (4) dogs so she is a regular customer of the said store and avail a considerable discount for her dog and for herself. I went over this table whom I saw that seems enjoying from the food that they just bought from the food store. Just asked the couple if it's okay if I take some photo of them while eating and post it here in my blog ---am so glad that they said "YES" after a few seconds of hesitations.
"A family enjoying their dinner at 50% discount at Dimsum"
Well, a happy family enjoying their dinner in front of the store. You can do that also...after getting tired strolling around or shopping at the mall. You can take your dinner at DIMSUM before going home. Surely you will enjoy it, just like the couple in the picture :) Later, I found out that they often come at the store to dine specially week-ends "family day" and of course because of the 50% food discount. FYI soft drinks are excluded from the 50% discounts. Also their Special "Siopao" has only 20% discount (not sure! I shall have to visit the place once again to verify). So...my friend bought the food for his brother's birthday and we headed home. The taste of the food? I was not invited at the party so I was not able to find out...lol "bitter?" For sure I will visit the place once again soon...maybe with my "kuma" blogger friends to try the food. :)Wanna join?
