Amo molto fare le gite soprattutto in autunno.
Fuori città i colori delle piante hanno giochi di luci eccezionali. I love doing the tours especially in the fall. Out of town the colors of the plants give some special light effects.Sabato mi sono trovata in una località molto particolare: villaggio Crespi sulle sponde dell'Adda .
Vi giuro che sarò passata centinaia di volte sul ponte di quell'autostrada, ma non avevo mai visto questo paese.

Il paese in sè è un monumento da visitare perché un'importante testimonianza di archeologia industriale ,ma è anche un luogo piacevole dove camminare in riva al fiume, in mezzo alle case operaie o scoprire i boschi circostanti.
The village is a monument to visit because is an important example of industrial archeology, but it is also a pleasant place to walk by the river, in the midst of the workers' houses, or discover the surrounding woods.
L'unico vero peccato è non riuscire ad entrare nella fabbrica per poterla visitare.
Forse in futuro, quando sarà chiarito il suo destino, riaprirà le porte al pubblico. Al momento è sbirciabile solo dall'esterno. Era un ex opificio dove il signor Crespi e in seguito suo figlio, espansero un vero e proprio impero tessile.
It is a pity that the factory is not open to be visited.
Perhaps it will be possible to visit it in the future- when the project on this buildings will be clear, the factory will be visitable again. Now we can only have a glimpse from outside. It was a former factory where Mr Crespi, and later his son, expanded a real textile empire.
La presenza del Sig. Crespi c'era allora e la testimonianza c'è sicuramente anche adesso.
Ne percepirete la sua influenza dalla sua casa, che ha tutte le sembianze di un castello ( purtroppo essendo stata acquistata da un privato non è visitabile). Da quello che si vede è chiaro che avesse un certo potere e che comunque, nonostante tutto, pensasse anche al benessere dei suoi operai, creandogli un villaggio ideale, quasi fuori dal mondo, dove poter vivere e lavorare in armonia.
Anche se oramai la fabbrica è inattiva e il villaggio è un'attrazione turistica, io ho provato un senso di pace a camminare quì e devo ammettere che almeno un paio di volte ho pensato a quanto sarebbe stato piacevole vivere in quel luogo, con i cancelli bassi, i giardini curati, le persone che camminano tranquille. Così lontano dalla frenetica vita cittadina!
The presence of Mr Crespi ha been always present in this village - then as now. You feel his presence in his house. This seems a castle (unfortunately having been acquired by a private citizen is not open to visitors. Anyway it is evident his influence and power even if in the same time he thought about the wealth of his laborers making for them an ideal village where to live. All there could live and work in harmony.Although the factory is idle and the village is a tourist attraction, I feel a sence of peace. I must admit that at least, a couple of times, I thought how nice it would be to live in that place, with low gates, nice gardens, people who walk quiet. So far from the chaos of the city.
Arrivata al cimitero il luogo è insolito, ma, secondo me, da visitare assolutamente.
Per qualche secondo sul viale, in lontananza, mi sembrava di essere in America Centrale.
Il sig Crespi ha eretto un monumento molto importante e sontuoso come tomba funeraria per la sua famiglia ispirandosi a strutture architettoniche del Centro America.
Il resto del cimitero è un luogo tranquillo con piccole tombe .
The cemetery it is an unusual place - but in my opinion it should be visited. When you see it arriving from the street you feel like to be in Central America for few seconds. Mr. Crespi has built a very important and sumptuous monument as a funer ary tomb for his family. The rest of the cemetery is a quiet place with small tombs.Sicuramente è un posto molto particolare questo villaggio Crespi e non a caso è stato riconosciuto come patrimonio dell'umanità dall'Unesco nel 1995 .
Le sensazioni che ho provato visitandolo sono sicuramente contrastanti: un senso di tristezza nel vedere la fabbrica chiusa, luogo che un tempo era operativo. Un senso di fascino nel vedere cosa è stato costruito e un senso di pace nel camminare per le vie.
Village Crespi is a very special place and not coincidentally has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995. The sensations I felt visiting it are definitely contrasting - a sense of sadness seeing the factory closed - a place that was once so active. A sense of fascination in seeing what has been built and a sense of peace when walking through the streets.
Nell'ufficio turistico era esposto un cartello che afferma: sono gli uomini che danno un senso al luogo ed allo spazio.
Se anche non è sempre vero e può essere discutibile, forse in questo caso la frase è proprio azzeccata.
Chi ha vissuto e vive qui da un senso al Villaggio Crispi e ne definisce la sua essenza
