Sono dei magnifici film dove la bravura di grandi attori come Marlon Brando, indimenticabile con la mascella evidenziata grazie al fatto che recitava con del cotone in bocca; la indimenticabile personaggio di Al Pacino e ancora Diane Keaton, Robert Duvall, Taila Shire e l'assolutamente affascinate Andy Garcia rendono questa saga familiare una pietra miliare del cinema.
They are amazing movies with an incredible cast. As first Marlon Brando, unforgettable in his interpretation with his jaw full of cotton ; then the wonderful Al Pacino and even Diane Keaton, Robert Duvall, Taila Shire and the terribly handsome Andy Garcia.
All this actors made absolutely fascinating this family saga,a milestone of cinema.

Grandissimo compositore italiano. The Godfather waltz è un pezzo spettacolare datato 1972. Lo sapevate che il brano piacque molto al pubblico, ma tutto il lavoro di Nino Rota fu sempre criticato dalla critica perchè non seguiva le tendenze musicali del momento? Incredibile!
The Godfather waltz is an amazing piece dated 1972. This piece liked a lot to the audience, but all Rota's work was always criticized by critics because he was not following the musical trends during these years. Crazy but true !
Ancora una volta la dimostrazione che per creare qualche cosa di unico ed essere creativi non bisogna seguire le tendenze, ma esprimere se stessi incondizionatamente.
Se Rota non avesse perseverato, forse questo capolavoro non sarebbe arrivato a noi!
Eppure Rota vinse l' oscar per il secondo atto del padrino e non il primo. Pare infatti che per il primo avesse usato un brano già esistente e già usato... ma qualche scivolone lo fanno anche i grandi! Sta di fatto che con le note portò il sapore di italianità ai suoi personaggi che erano siciliani emigranti in America. Nino Rota mette in musica un'identità. Riuscireste ad immaginarla differente?
Once more you have not to follow trends to be unique and creative but express yourself unconditionally. If Rota had not persisted, perhaps this masterpiece would not be created! Rota won the Oscar for the second act of the Godfather and not for the first. It is said that he used a copy of yet existing piece for the first movie ... even the best person takes a tumble! Anyway Rota brought the Italian atmosphere in this movie- focused on a Sicilian immigrant family in Us. Nino Rota gave an Italian identity with the music. Could you imagine a different music or musical identity for this movie?
