It's Golden Globes Sunday and you know what that means - a bunch of celebrities about to get their drink on. Plus, ya know, win some awards, deliver speeches, and probably end up being turned into online memes for something they do when they don't realize the camera is on them. But, mostly it's about the drinking.
So, really, why bother taking this seriously? It's an awards show voted on by around 90 foreign film journalists most people haven't heard of before. If I happened to be in that select group and had the ability to pick tonight's winner, film categories only, here's who they'd be:
FILM: Best Picture (Drama)Will Win: A Star is Born
Should Win: Black Panther
Best Picture (Musical or Comedy)Will Win: The Favourite

- Claire Foy, First Man
- Regina King, If Beale Street Could Talk
- Emma Stone, The Favourite
- Rachel Weisz, The Favourite
Will Win: Emma Stone, The Favourite
Should Win: Rachel Weisz, The Favourite
Either one, really. It's a coin toss for me as to who is really more deserving between the two, but both are the clear front-runners over Amy Adams and Claire Foy playing"wife behind the man" roles and Regina King in a film which seems to have gone under appreciated so far.
Best Supporting Actor- Mahershala Ali, Green Book
- Timothée Chalamet, Beautiful Boy
- Adam Driver, BlacKkKlansman
- Richard E. Grant, Can You Ever Forgive Me?
- Sam Rockwell, Vice
Will Win: Richard E. Grant, Can You Ever Forgive Me?
Should Win: Adam Driver, BlacKkKlansman
Honestly, I'm fine with anyone winning this category other than Sam Rockwell, whose caricature of George W. Bush in Vice is certainly good for a laugh or two but not to win any awards.
Best Screenplay- Alfonso Cuarón, Roma
- Deborah Davis and Tony MacNamara, The Favourite
- Barry Jenkins, If Beale Street Could Talk
- Adam McKay, Vice
- Brian Currie, Peter Farrelly and Nick Vallelonga, Green Book
Will Win: Deborah Davis and Tony MacNamara, The Favourite
Should Win: Alfonso Cuarón, Roma
