Two weddings in succession and we were back to Athelhampton House, to capture Ian and Adele’s celebration with family and friends.

A very familiar place to us, with great people running the venue, wonderful gardens and the unique Tudor house. So much familiarity, it would be easy to run through an established set list of pictures, but that wouldn’t be us!

Ian and Adele’s Autumn wedding at Athelhampton House was going to be different for us. Something of a creative challenge, to capture the season, the weather and of course Bride & groom. What is unique to them as a couple, their shared love, connection, humour, family and friends.

Ian and Adele’s day echoed the season. Bridal bouquets enveloped by autumn leaves, roaring open fires in the ceremony room and timely heavy downpours of rain, just when we came to having the bridal portraits.

The registrar, new to the venue, wanted to make it personal, standing immediately in front of the couple to conduct the ceremony. Personal yes, but a little restricting for camera angles, but hey – we work around things, we have to.

New angles for the ceremony, new angles for portraits on the bridge, a new couple along with a new family in the making.
