I Want One Of Those: Olympic Inspired Pieces
If you're anything like me then you too will have been totally swept up by Olympic fever for the past couple of weeks. I have literally consumed every waking minute of Olympic coverage, watching the events all day everyday and loved the bloody lot!! Even the sports I am not really into captured my imagination. Team GB have done phenomenally well and certainly deserve the "Our Greatest Team" label that has affectionately been bestowed upon them. So I thought it was only fitting that I should do a Olympic Games inspired post (By the way, I did start this during the games but because I so was glued to the box, I didn't quite get round to finishing it).
I'm not a newbie to the Olympic following, I have done it every four years for as long as I can remember. Although in the early days it was when I was still competing in Athletics and dreaming about maybe being involved in an Olympic games one day. Funny how my body had other ideas, that I was yet to discover!!
As I write this post the games have unfortunately come to an end but the legacy of London 2012 will go on and if not, then at least we still have the upcoming Paralympics to indulge in and keep the "feel good" factor that has swept the nation alive for a little bit longer. There are many ways to commemorate the games and get the London 2102 look. Here are a few of my favorite Olympic inspired items that are suitable for any nationality to wear with pride.

Pretaportobello.com: Loves' KT Olympic Hoop Vest

How about this super cool vest from Loves KT?? Don't you just love it?? This online exclusive is high up on my wishlist due to its stunningly simple yet very effective design. You can't really go wrong with a monochrome graphic print in my opinion. Which means this versatile piece can easily be dressed up under a blazer for a less sporty look or team with skinny jeans and heels for a great outfit suitable for an evening down the pub cheering on your team!

Loriblu: London 2012 Fashion Shoe

By now you should all know my weakness for shoes and these little beauties are no exception. Say hello to the limited edition Loriblu: London 2012 White Sandals. Designed by Loriblu stylist Graziano Cuccù, these stunning peep-toe heels feature the iconic five multi-colour Olympic rings that surround the ankle and contrast beautifully against the brilliant white base color of the shoe. Although I'm not sure you will be running many races in these looking at the height of that heel!!

Looking for something a little less in-your-face?? This cute Olympic rings pendent motif necklace offers something a little bit different. The pendent is made of vibrant coloured cotton that has been delicately crochet into circles; representing the five multi-coloured rings of the Olympic symbol. The necklace is  finished off with a 20inch silver coloured curb chain.

Have you found any Olympic inspired pieces, that you love??
