I Voiced My Opinions, Here's the Experience.

“I was feeling the pressure everywhere. People mocking me when I try to be the ‘good boy’ and ‘mama’s boy’. They curse me when I go out with them and pick up the litter they throw on the ground. I carry a litter bag everywhere I go.  Let me begin from the starting. My parents had always been a cleanliness freak since I was small. They always made me clean my room and taught me never to throw anything on the streets or anywhere else. They also said that if I was traveling with my friends, I was to pick up their litter if they threw something on the ground. They taught me on how to never cringe while doing this. Well, I guess, that’s from where I got “these attributes of mine.” My friends, well they seem uncomfortable around me. Well, they used to. Narendra Modi’s Swach Bharat Campaign has taken its motive to change that. It was the time when me and my friends had just passed out of our school and were free for some months. So, it was then I felt I was in control. This campaign was my way to speak up to my friends and stop the taunts. This was the role I was destined to play. So, I gathered some of my close buddies and asked them if they would like to come with me to CP (Connaught Place) to clean it up a bit.

Well, as all of us were big fans of Mr. Modi, they agreed, and it was decided that we will meet on the coming Sunday.
It was 9:00 am when I reached the destined destination. Within 15 minutes all my mates arrived and we were ready to begin. The first thing we did was to scour the place to check where the dirt was. We found lots.  We began with cleaning the moss-kind of – dirt on the walls. When that was done, we began to clean the floor- where all the scraps were fallen. Then the crowd began to arrive. We seemed to be the highlight of attention. I could feel eyes boring into my back and people pointing and talking about us.But, I wasn’t deterred from that. We all weren’t. We kept doing the task we thought would make our country a better place. We didn’t shout at anyone when we saw them throwing litter on the ground. We simply went there- picked it up and threw it in the nearest bin. We all were following the rule of: “Actions speak louder than words.”The highlight was when we saw a group of friends eating pizza and when they were done with the main part of the slice- they threw the ends on the ground. What amused us was that a dog came and picked those ends and was taking the slices to the nearest bin. When the friends left, they left the pizza box on the seat they were sitting on, we took the courtesy to pick it up and throw it in the bin. We patted the dog- we could see the gesture in his work. That’s how we had shown our responsibility and participation towards our country. And, all the events are mostly real. We did it and are proud to say that the video of what we did got a vote of thanks from the PM himself. “
This is for a competition. #Abmontubloega. It’s time for our country to take the first step towards a cleaner India.

Some details about the campaign:
"There are places that need cleaning, people who deserve your attention & authorities who need to hear your opinions! Don’t be a silent spectator. Raise your voice and make a difference.
We know that raising our voices against all that is dirty in our country is a power that we all have. Let’s exercise the power of our voice & work towards a Swach Bharat.
