I ♡ Spring Tag!

By Behindtheseclosedeyes @theseclosedeyes
It's another spring themed post today and it just so happens to be the I Spring tag which was created by Ingrid (missglamorazzi) over on YouTube. I loved the questions she chose for the tag and just had to join in as it's getting me even more in the mood for spring this year. I tag all of you to answer these questions as I definitely had fun doing it!
I ♡ Spring Tag!
Favourite spring nail polish? My favorite has to be the polish that I have just posted about here, and that is Models Own Apple Pie incase anyone missed it. It is just the perfect mint green shade to me and one that you could wear all year round as it's light enough to be considered a pastel but still bright enough to look great with a tan in the summer!
What is your must-have lip color this spring? It has to be the Revlon Lip Butter in the shade Strawberry Shortcake which I've already posted about here! It's such a pretty bubblegum pink color that isn't too bright or in your face (unless you wanted it to be by building it up of course). It's a great way to add some color to the lips while still keeping up the look subtle for spring and the moisturising formula leaves your lips looking well nourished.
Show us your favorite spring dress! My favorite happens to be one that I just picked up a few days ago, and it's the pretty peach lace dress that  is in the photo above! The color just makes me think of one of my favorite nail polish shades, Essie Van D'Go, and the pretty lace netting also has some very subtle shimmer running throughout. The best thing about the dress is that it was a Primark bargain at £10, and I can't wait to be getting plenty more wear out of it in the coming months.
What's your favorite spring flower? I'm going to have to stick with one of your traditional spring flowers, daffodils! They just completely sum up the season of spring for me when they start growing around this time, and the fact that they are yellow just makes me feel a lot happier when I see them.
Favourite spring scarf/accessory? I have a scarf and accessory as I just couldn't pick one to include. My favorite spring scarf is one that I received as a Christmas present last year, and it is the gorgeous crochet Russian doll printed scarf pictured above. I've been assured that it was from Marks & Spencer but I'm not sure if it's still available! Moving on to my favorite accessory, it's another new buy in the form of the pretty stack of heart rings also pictured above. The three rings come in silver, gold and rose gold and can either be worn together or separately and I got these from Forever 21 for just over £3 which I thought was a fab price for something so pretty.
What spring trend(s) are you most excited about this year? (Makeup, fashion or both!) Makeup wise, I'm just looking forward to more dewy looking makeup and brighter shades for the lips on an everyday basis. Fashion wise, I'm going to be one of those people who goes back to floral prints. Yes Miranda Priestly, florals for spring aren't groundbreaking! I just love pretty floral prints for just about anything.
Favourite spring candle? I don't actually have any spring candles right now but I'm currently loving Black Cherry from Yankee Candle as the fruity scent just cheers me up. I've got my eye on a few more spring/summer appropriate candles such as Beach Flowers and Bahama Breeze, both from Yankee.
Favourite body spray/perfume for spring? This was a tough one as there's a few in my collection that I've been loving, but I had to go with Taylor Swift Wonderstruck which is just the perfect mix of floral and fruity notes. I think it's great for spring time as it's such a girly scent and I'll definitely be wearing it to death this spring and summer.

What is spring like where you live? Usually spring is lovely with lighter nights and more sunshine during the day, but the weather has been a bit crazy lately with even more snow and gloomy days boohoo! I'm hoping that the weather gets a bit nicer in the next few weeks as the sunshine just seems to make everyone feel happier which is always great to see!

What's your favorite thing about spring? I love that spring means you can ditch the big winter coats and go out in lighter jackets and pretty dresses instead, although the weather isn't exactly permitting that right now which is annoying. It also means that the countdown to summer begins, with the end of uni getting even closer (hooray)!

Are you a spring cleaner? I'm usually the total opposite of a spring cleaner but this year has seen me clear through drawers and wardrobes of clothes, and also a lot of clearing out in my room to make more space for folders of uni work and my ever growing DVD collection. You could even say that all of the cleaning was just a bit of procrastination during dissertation writing, but at least it got done anyway!

Any plans for spring break or an upcoming vacation? Unfortunately not. I really wish there were plans for a holiday or a break somewhere but the harsh reality is that uni work is just taking over right now. Some sunshine and time away from everything would be fab but there just isn't the time just now, so hopefully something can be arranged in the summer!
