I SEE CHECKS on DIWALI
My closet surprises me each time when I reach out into it, in search of something ethnic to wear. It's always a mystery what I might find in there. There is zero anticipation. I experienced  the above  overwhelm when  I found this churidaar-kurti set, buried in a pile of other Indian clothing. My mom bought me this as a part of my wedding trousseau. It's a thick, almost wool kind of fabric with an all over check-pattern PHULKARI work. Despite the heavy phulkari embroidery, the garment feels lightweight to the touch. How could I miss something so beautiful and not wear it for all these years ???? Well, I guess this is bound to happen when you have way too many clothes in your closet. Too many to forget and keep track of.Talking about too many clothes, a closet clean up is underway. I will have a bunch of clothes and accessories to offer for sale. Some are barely worn and almost new. As new as only worn for the outfit post. Found guilty of being a hoarder.....wink wink !!So keep an eye out for some good stuff coming your way- all from my closet to yours...
