I Really Hope by The Cranberries.

Posted on the 31 August 2012 by Melodicwisdom

I was looking through my old iPod yesterday back when I had at least 50 songs on it by The Cranberries. I listened to them a lot during my sophomore year of college. Later on that night, I was thinking about the guy in my life and suddenly the lyrics to I Really Hope came to mind.  I guess it now reminds me of him.

I Really Hope was released from the band’s fifth album, Wake Up and Smell the Coffee, in October of 2001. The lyrics were written by lead singer Dolores O’Riordan. The song describes a girl who hopes that her significant other will love her no matter what. She believes they’re meant to be and wants to stay together.

It was never released as a single but if it had been, I think it would have done well. What do you think?
