I have been selected as one of 70 top Hispanic women bloggers in the US to attend a special retreat here in the nations capital organized by Latinos in Social Media (LATISM) and the fabulous ladies of Latina Bloggers Connect. Bloggers were selected based on traffic, influence and the quality of content.
We have been encouraged to put tweeting on hold for a day, focus on our long term goals as bloggers and entrepreneurs. Really taking the time to dig deep and decide what path we want to take in our life and take full advantage of the sponsors and our mentors who are here to help us realize our goals. A "mini MBA" of sorts.
And the excitement levels don't end there...tomorrow (Monday) we will be at the White House for a special meeting where is there is chance we could meet the First Lady herself, Michelle Obama.
Tonight my twitter stream came to life as I met bloggers in the flesh. Let me just say it was like meeting all my favorite celebrities. Needles to say, this has given me a massive boost of confidence, especially as I've been feeling lost within the blogging world after leaving my very comfy network of blog friends in the UK. So it was about time I got back into the game!And style wise, I'm still figuring out what to wear, but what I do know for sure is that the White House had better get ready.
