I know you’ve already seen the photos and heard the news but I figured I’d make it double-trouble official and spill the beans here on the blog.
On Tuesday I picked up Max from downtown San Francisco so we could drive down to Salinas to visit my parents. We hadn’t been home since moving in March and I had a rare 2 consecutive day’s off work.
We were just north of San Jose driving on Highway 101 and all of a sudden Max starts going on about how wonderful I am. I was very confused, but why ruin a good thing?! So I just drove along listening to how awesome I am and then he POPPED the question and showed me some serious bling.
Advice… proposing in the car at 75 mph is a little dangerous and I’m relieved we survived. But it was AWESOME!!! It’s hysterical and I love that everyone thinks it’s funny. It’s so ME.
The ring is 1 of a kind. Max found a really cool gallery of jewelers in San Francisco. This ring was made by Anne Sportun. It’s brushed white gold with a cognac diamond center surrounded with a white diamond halo. I LOVE IT! It couldn’t be more perfect.
It was so awesome to be able to tell my family in person. Everyone was so excited. We called Max’s family in the car on the way to my house. They are all ecstatic too.
We’re hoping for a fall wedding. Probably between September and November. We really like the idea of getting married at an apple orchard.
