I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas Table Setting
Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. Last week I gave you the full tour of our home decorated for Christmas but I think I saved the best for last. Today I'm sharing my White Christmas Table Setting. I think it takes elements that I have used in each room of the house and ties them all together.
I kept the snow, snow, snow theme going here with some faux snow as a table runner. I separated the batting a little bit to give the snow layers and to make it look wispy in some areas and like thick snow banks in other areas. I think it looks a bit like cotton candy.
I really tried to use items that I already owned to pull together this table.
I recently received some antique silverware from my Aunt and it's tarnished and perfect! I added a light gray, linen hemstitch table cloth. And gold napkin rings with a leaf design on them. But you really can't see them because I tucked a flower into each one.
I think the flowers are really what ties this whole table to together and makes it seem so much fancier. I used vases that I already owned and tucked pink spray roses and white mums from the grocery store into each one. They look like they are blooming from the snow and I love that! I also added some faux lamb's ear to each vase to add some soft green. I love how lamb's ear already looks like it is snow kissed.
I mentioned in my family room tour that I had purged a lot of decor before we moved to North Carolina. I found myself picking up little items that suit my taste a little better these days. I found this banner recently and it fits perfectly right by the back door.
The ornaments are leftover ornaments from the Christmas tree and some vase filler in the same tones.
One thing I would never get rid of are my silver mint julip vases. I bought them years ago at a discount store but they stand the test of time and are just a classic. Fresh flowers always look elegant in them.
I incorporated more glittery silver trees peaking out of the snow for some extra sparkle. But candles or tea lights would have worked great too.
I hope you enjoyed my White Christmas Table Setting. I really loved creating it! I've been sharing little sneak peaks over on Facebook and Instagram and I'd love for you to join me there. Don't be shy-say hello!
