I’ll Wait For You by ‘Til Tuesday.

It’s a real shame that ‘Til Tuesday is no longer together. They had such a distinct sound that I haven’t heard another band come close to. A large part of that was due to Aimee’s skill in bass which really set their music apart. I came across this song yesterday on You Tube and was sad to discover it was never recorded on an album. However, it’s so good that I just had to share it with you.

According to YouTube, I’ll Wait For You was an early song they played at shows before being signed. It may have been called “Boy” but I have no confirmation of this. The song was included on a list for their debut album, Voices Carry, but it never made the cut. There are several other songs which unfortunately never made it to the record either.

The live performance above is from 1985 at The Ritz in New York. If you look through the other clips from this show, you’ll hear the other tracks that never made it including, “Enough to Save You” and “Just Like Me.”
