Where do I start? Yes some may class me as a part time mom as two of my children do not live with me they live with their dad and have done for the past 4 years now.  I get them on a weekend and this is what the weekend goes like for me.

7.30 Saturday morning my alarm goes off but then I remember its Saturday,  I get my two baby’s today yay, so get up go downstairs and have a cuppa, flick pc on and check Facebook for an hour, then at 8.30 I roll my 4 cigs for my travel and get ready, making sure I have two packets of crisps and sweets in my bag for my two children for the journey back to mine.

I leave home at 8.50am walk down to the bus stop and wait for the bus, then get off at the train station and wait for my train to get them, the train journey is 15mins and I pull in to the station were I collect my children from just after 10am.

My two children are waiting for me in their dads car in the car park, I open the door give the ex £10 for petrol for Sunday as he collects them from me. I ask how they have been and anything I need to know and get their bag out of the boot, we then go wait for our train at 10.23 back to mine, we sit on the train and yes the kids are straight in my bag for their snacks and we giggle and talk and have loves and cuddles all the way back.

We then arrive at the station, wait for bus and then  a short walk back to my house and get in the door at 11′ish when it becomes mayhem and fun time, my little boy who does live with me squeals as we walk in the door at them and runs to them.

The toys are soon everywhere as they play and get settled in, then I put lunch on and sort stuff out while they play. If it’s nice we go to the park or paint/glue/draw for the afternoon unless they are too busy playing, then before i know it its teatime so again teatime routine the same as everyone else has, then they run riot till 6pm when its PJ time and they run up and down stairs playing till 8pm.

Then my little girl likes to sit on my knee looking at pictures on my pc of her as a baby and we enjoy. All four of us (me and my 3 children) climb into bed watching dvd till we all fall asleep as my little girl wont sleep or settle unless I hug her to sleep which sends me to sleep.

In the morning we all get up about 7′ish and come down stairs have breakfast and get dressed and play. I keep looking at the clock thinking they have to go soon and it hurts like hell but I put on my happy face for them, then I get a text at 11.50am to say the ex is round the corner as he won’t come here the house.

So we pack up and get shoes and coats on and walk 5 minutes’ walk round the corner to his waiting car. I open the back door and get my daughter in her car seat while my son is messing around at the window with his dad, then i get him n put him in the car, I go back to my daughter and kiss her and say ‘love you see you soon’ and she says same back and then I do the same to my son n have massive huggies as he likes to call them.

I tell the ex anything he needs to know and the shut the door and wave at them as they drive of knowing that’s it for another 7 days n it breaks my heart, but I know they are ok, they are happy and settled but it never makes the ache go away, so that’s it , that’s my weekend with my babies.
