September is going to be busy for major smartphone manufacturers, and Huawei’s decided to join its competitors by scheduling an event of its own for September 4. The company’s now officially started sending out invitations for the event.
The invitation doesn’t say much except for the date, the word ‘Feel’ and beneath it a fingerprint. Based on this, we can guess that the upcoming phone will probably come with a fingerprint scanner. Rumor has it that the company will announce its next flagship smartphone, the Ascend Mate 7.
The Ascend Mate 7 is expected to come in two versions – one with a QHD display, the other with a Full HD. The screen will measure 6 inches and the handsets will sport Huawei’s Kirin 920 octa-core processor. On their backs will be a 13-megapixel camera, and in the front a 5-megapixel shooter. As for the OS, you’ll get Android 4.4 KitKat with the Emotion UI 3.0 on top of it.
