Another smartphone by Huawei, this time a downgraded and more affordable version of the original Honor 3C – the Honor 3C Play.
The Honor 3C Play (or the Honor 3C Play Edition) comes with a 5in IPS display and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. On the inside is MediaTek’s MT6582 chipset, with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. Other specs include 16GB of storage (expandable), an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing one, plus dial-SIM option. The Honor 3C Play runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, topped off with Huawei’s Emotion UI.
The Honor 3C Play should go on sale in China soon, where it will cost around $97 (CNY 599), followed afterwards by other popular Asian markets. Whether or not it will be available for sale in the US remains to be seen.
