Hello everyone. In today’s post you will learn to surf Internet using sim card of any provider on BSNL 3g data card. My sim card is of Idea Cellular and data card's model no is LW272.
By using following steps you will be able to surf Internet using any sim card on BSNL
Note: By using following steps I was able to surf Internet using Idea sim card in BSNL 3g data card. I am not sure whether this will work for you. Secondly don’t make me responsible if any damage is done using following steps.
- Insert data card into your computer. Software will be installed automatically. If software is already installed no need to install it again.
- Click on start then select run. In run window type regedit and click on ok.
- Registry editor will open. On left side of registry editor there is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Double click on it. Then double click on SOFTWARE. Select Linktop3G.
- On right double click on Engineer. A new window will open. It will have title Edit DWORD (32 bit) Value. Here you have to change value of Value data. Let the Value of Value data be 0 instead of 1. After changing value to 0 click on ok. Close registry editor.
- Now open BSNL 3g software. Click on setting tab and then on connection button on left side. On right side click on add button. Set any name for profile. Enter number and APN of your sim card (For idea sim card the number is *99# and APN is internet). Let username and password fields be blank. Click on Apply button. Your newly created profile will be seen in the list of profiles. Select your newly created profile and click on Set Default button.
- Now close BSNL 3g software and remove data card from your computer. Remove BSNL 3g sim card from data card and put your desirable sim card.
- Put data card back into your computer. After it starts receiving signal and light of data card is green then click on access Internet tab and click on Connect button. You can now surf Internet.
