How to Train Like an Olympian: the GB Rowers Tell Us How It’s Done

Anyone following the GB rowing squad as they prepare for the London 2012 Olympic Games can’t have failed to notice that the guys and girls representing us are powered by SiS, their official nutrition suppliers. With just a couple of weeks to go until it all kicks off, SiS have kindly given me a sneak preview of a film they’ve made about the rowers’ training, including interviews with Katherine Grainger, Anna Watkins, Dan Ritchie and others. Dan Ritchie tells us that in an Olympic year they circumnavigate the globe on that 2km lake. You’d think they come to loathe it, but as Jess Eddie says, “You have to enjoy what you do”. That, my friends, is commitment.
