How to Style Your Girlfriend Jeans

By Saumya Shiohare @myriadmusings1
What is girlfriend jeans and what is in it that makes it the most coveted fit this spring ????- Well! girlfriend jeans is just another upgraded avatar of your mom's jeans.....whomp whomp ! Girlfriend jeans is more fitted and tapered as opposed to your faithful boyfriend...I mean boyfriend jeans.
Girlfriend jeans is classic- it is tighter and fits higher up on the hips and is slimmer through the legs. It is flattering on everyone, specially if you are a curvy chica !! When I say it fits higher on the waist, I definitely mean its's high waisted, which is always forgiving in your mid-waist. A high-waist style which is more relaxed is definitely what every denim-lover swears by: at least I do !!!!
This pair of GF jeans from Gap is a true friend (by all means ) ! It is a true GFF in the sense ( girl friend forever ) :  it is compatible with your curves, it is trendy with all the patchwork detailing and without a doubt is long-lasting...

vest - c/o Zaful ( coveting this one) blouse- Mango ( similar ) jeans- Gap ( similar for less than $25) heels- Aldo shoes ( next on my radar ) bag- Aldo shoes
When your jeans fit well, you really don't need much brainstorming with the rest of your look- a simple t-shirt, a flirty bag and a pair of stilettos work their magic. And these jeans are definitely the good-curve-hugging-types. So go forth and rock with your girlfriend....I mean your girlfriend jeans..!
I wanted to channel some adult grunge and hence the studded heels and metal cuff as my accessories. The vest was very last minute but I love how playful it is. Overall another dressy look for those jeans.
