- Mattress pads are the most comfortable type of waterproof bedding. They’re thick, usually with 3-4 layers of mattress protection. Customers enjoy this particular style because it comes with anchor bands to secure it to the mattress. However, keep in mind that since they’re plush and thick, mattress pads take a while to wash and dry.
