{How To: Pick Your Engagement Picture Outfit}

By Whimofthesouth
Goodness knows how much of a struggle it was to pick out my outfits for engagement pictures. I looked into my closet and there was absolutely nothing to wear. Struggle bus central. I wanted an outfit that communicated my style and what our wedding was all about. I had to consider the time of year we are getting married and the need for that to come across in engagement pictures. Obviously the colors of the wedding are one of the most important factors as well. So. Many. Things. To. Consider. After days of pondering what to wear, I decided on two different outfits; one casual & one dressy. The first outfit was perfect for fall with my orange Vineyard Vines cardigan, classic Ralph Lauren oxford, Old Navy dark wash jeans, Stella cowboy boots, and of course, my signature over-sized pearl necklace. The second outfit was one that I decided on last minute; a Joules hand beaded tunic that was long enough to work as a dress and a dreadfully uncomfortable pair of nude BCBG heels (pain is beauty right?) The outfit would make just the right statement, incorporate our wedding colors, and was unbelievably cute.

One of my unbelievably talented friends agreed to take our engagement pictures. She was a rockstar; making us laugh, directing us, & not afraid to be blunt at all! Here are a few previews of the AMAZING work she did for James & I!
