As per the Kannada tradition, right before 10 days of the D-day, Nandi Pooja takes place in the bride’s house. Deepika’s wedding started off with the same ceremony which was looked after by her mother. Goddess of style who makes a statement with all her unique looks, Deepika’s wedding was the most searched thing online and offline along with other functions. Deepika kick-started the pooja celebration and looked jaw-drop gorgeous in one of her favorite designer’s orange silk kurta with a matching silk orange dupatta detailed with fine gold and polka dots. She teamed this up with a fuss-free white churidar and a smile to die for!
Similarly, her Mehendi ceremony left no head unturned when she ditched the usual and dressed up in quite a regal look. Her love for pastels was clearly evident when she teamed up her powder onion pink threadwork kurta with a threadwork dupatta of the same color unlike other women on their mehndi function. Forming layers, the beauty added a pop of color by wearing a red shawl over the dupatta that makes it a remarkable amalgamation. This was further accentuated with a satlada necklace and a dazzling pair of earrings. *GORGEOUS*
Deepika’s Konkani wedding was no less of a traditional affair. With a typical Konkani menu (with food being served on banana leaves), her bridal look was also subtle yet ravishing. She wore a simple red and golden saree presented to her by her mother and added a classic touch to her look with a statement matha Patti and choker neckpiece. Awed? Isn’t it?
Like no other, her wedding ensemble was as striking as all her other events. Draped in a deep red hue, she looked no less than a royalty exuding the old-world charm in a beautiful gotta Patti lehenga. She again set a trend with a personalized dupatta that stated ‘Sada Saubhagyawati Bhava’ on the border which when translated means stay happily married forever. Her post-wedding parties are a talk of the town too! She pulled up unusual dressing styles for all her receptions and looked resplendent in everything she wore. For the reception party in Bangalore home, Deepika as a new bride put on gorgeous golden saree gifted by her mother with a pop of color that was showcased by a stunning emerald choker layered with a pearl necklace.
In another reception hosted by her sister-in-law Ritika Bhavnani, no one could take their eyes off her as she wore a floral red lehenga with a red floral tiara and bold makeup. Too dreamy, isn’t it?
For her reception in Mumbai, Deepika’s look was inspired by Pakistani weddings. She effortlessly showed off her post-marital look with a long veil on the head combined with chikankari details on her saree.
