Rachel Weisz had two movies in Cannes so she had ample opportunity to get the red carpet and photo call looks right in these past two weeks on the French Riviera. And boy, did she ever! First of all, I hate to harp on about age but she is 45 years old. 45!!! years old. She looks Ah-mah-zing! I know age is just a number but being in that same age bracket myself, I cannot help but admire her sophisticated but youthful style. There were of course many stunning gowns and beautiful women who faced the paparazzi in Cannes, but Rachel in my opinion shone in smart yet glamorous choices. The Prada teal silk gown she wore to the premiere of “Youth” (in which she stars with Michael Caine and Jane Fonda) was retro glamorous. The black Narciso Rodriguez jumpsuit she wore to “The Lobster” photocall (a thriller with Colin Farrell) looked very modern and sleek and showed off her impossibly amazing figure. For the film’s premiere she had chosen a sleek and simple Luis Vuitton white gown complete with “diamond” sparklies. And the summery little dress that starred in the “Youth” photocall was absolutely darling and looked so pretty and fresh. Ten out of ten!
