The IQ tests fulfilled after the listening showed the results 8 or 9 grades higher tan the previous ones.

The American scientists Lynn Couper and Milton Erickson have found out that the people who are listening to the metronome beat at the pace 60 signals per minute fall into the “alpha wave state”. This state of a human brain is perfect for education and memorizing significant amounts of the information given.

The slow beat of Baroque music (from 60 to 64 beats per minute) also has the positive effect of the human brain activity. The popularity of this genre captured the music overs after the death of Johann Sebastian Bach.

His masterpieces are full of rich overtones and intonations and are characterized by the distinct rhythm coinciding with the optimal sound frequency for a human brain to process. The language learners who were listening to Bach compositions during three weeks appeared to memorize 60 more lexical items per week. The Baroque music has the great effect of the human brain abilities. The students who were listening to it showed more success in their studies. They turned out to be able to memorize 26 % of the information more and their learning speed improved for more that 24 %. It’s not a surprise that the brightest geniuses of the past century showed interest towards the classic music.
