Larenz Tate and Nia Long in a scene from "Love Jones"
Recently, one of my all-time favorite romances depicted in the movie "Love Jones", aired on the Starz network. Originally released in 1997, this sleeper hit filmed in Chicago has not gotten the replays it deserves in my opinion. Believable performances by the lead actors, Larenz Tate and Nia Long, coupled with a peek inside Chicago's underground poetry slams turned it into a cult classic.The movie is romantic, urban-chic and artistic all at the same time... I should also mention that the soundtrack is a timeless masterpiece. Watching it over the weekend made me wonder if anyone has had "Love Jones" themed nuptials? Just a few ideas I thought of, to get you started:
