We’re wrapping up two weeks of having family in town, and tonight a friend brought over a few horses to let the kids ride around.
And while people like Jeanne, who are always around horses, might not get all excited over this… this was such a special treat for us! They’re spending the night in the backyard so we’ll get to enjoy them again tomorrow!

We rode and rode and rode around the backyard and ended the night around a campfire. It’s nights like this that make me so thankful to live here in Montana. It really is as beautiful as they say.
And with the summer slowly starting to wrap up, my husband and four year old are camping in the backyard… something we’ve been meaning to do for months now. If all goes well tonight, we may venture out of the backyard and do some actual camping once or twice before the summer ends.
Less than 2 months till snow! What fun are you trying to squeeze in before the end of summer?!
