The hock, tarsal, or gambrel, is the joint found in mammals with four legs such as a horse, dogs, cats, etc. The Hock joint is also known as the tarsal joint. Introduction
The hock joint or the tarsal joint in horses is formed from the combination of four joints, named the talocrural joint, proximal intertarsal joint, distal intertarsal joint, and tarsometatarsal joint.
