Hong Kong International Jewelry Show is one of the most prominent and much distinguished events organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. For the first time it was introduced in two individual venues, as two individual shows. This step was initiated in order to draw professional and diverse trade platforms which will be focused for the specific product categories. The HKTDC announced the commencement of Hong Kong International Jewellery Show 2014 from March 5–9 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, while the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show was held at the Asia World-Expo from March 3–7. Both the shows yield extravagance and exhibit an alluring assortment of exemplary vintage diamond jewelry, flawless silver, scintillating jade ornaments, stainless steel, and watches made of precious metals. The sole intention behind initiating the “two shows two venues” theory was in order to accumulate a massive crowd from every nook and corner of the world and eventually 40,000 visitors from across 50 countries seemed to have witnessed the versatile exhibition. Besides flaunting their priceless heritance, the show was also highlighted by other remarkable activities like, fashions shows, seminar on study of pearls and accreditation programs for retailers. The victorious event is believed to widen the aspect of Hong Kong jewelry industry by contributing immensely to its growth among its competitors.
