After my daughter was born, I felt comfortable enough experimenting with homemade concoctions. This glass cleaner is the BEST one I have tried so I wanted to pass it along.
Recipe courtesy of Crunchy Betty
Ingredients
- 1 cup filtered, VERY HOT water
- 1/2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1/8 cup rubbing alcohol {at least 70% isopropyl} *I use 91%*
- 1/8 cup white vinegar
You will also need a brand new spray bottle of choice & a funnel.
Directions
- Boil water & let it cool slightly.
- Add the cornstarch to spray bottle & then add hot water. *Shake vigorously to dissolve.*
- Add the rubbing alcohol & vinegar, shake well again.
- Clean your dirty glass & admire the shine!
*You will need to shake the bottle well before each use, because the cornstarch will settle at the bottom & can clog the nozzle.*
I also highly recommend using coffee filters to wipe the cleaner off of the mirrors. Not only will it save you a ton of money on paper towels, your mirrors will be lint & streak free.
I made sure my bathroom mirrors were extra coated with toothpaste, hairspray, water spots & makeup splatter just for you guys.
Gross right?
TADA!!
Look at that shine! I use this on my mirrored bedroom & living room furniture as well. I have yet to meet a booger, slobber, sticky goo, crayon mess, juice spill or random {wtf is this?!} mess that it wouldn’t take off either. Best part? My little helper is perfectly safe helping me clean with it.
