Home-made hair mask

I have been wanting to make a natural mask for my hair, but I never seem to have all the ingredients at once. For the last 3 days I have been collecting ingredients to make a hair mask with. I whipped up a natural conditioner in the kitchen and it feels amazing on my hair. There are many different types of natural conditioners you could make and they all have various benefits for your hair. For mine I used:

1 egg: Strengthens and repairs your hair

Half a banana: Repairs damaged hair

3 tablespoons of honey: Moisturizes your hair and adds shine

Olive oil: Nourishes, conditions and improves strength and elasticity in your hair

3 tablespoons of Yogurt: A great natural conditioner for your hair. ( I used plain Greek Yogurt)

Dabur Amla oil: Makes hair shiny and helps with blood circulation in your scalp and also promotes hair growth.

Half a cup of flour: Helps smooth the scales of the hair leaving it shiny and lustrous

Step 1:Mash the banana using a fork in a bowl

Step 2: Add the egg and olive oil then give it a good whisk using a mixing machine.

Step 3: Add yogurt and honey, mix again, then put the flour and Dabur Amla oil and continue whisking until you get the consistency that you like, you can add flour or water to make it either thick or thin.

Step 4: Shampoo your hair using a mild shampoo then massage the mixture into your hair. Wear a plastic cap and keep it on for an hour or so.

I still had some of the mixture left, so I put it in a small container and put it in the fridge. It spread well throughout my hair. I kept it on for about an hour then I washed it off. I put a little moisturizing conditioner and had it for about 5 minutes then washed it off and followed it with an ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) rinse.

I must say my hair feels amazing. The thing I love about natural hair masks and conditioners is that you know exactly what is in the mixture and there are no chemicals in it, and the best part it’s that it’s cheap and easy to make. Most of the ingredients you already have in your kitchen. Do you have any recipes for home-made hair masks?
