Home schooling is a touchy subject. Alternative forms of education seem to really hit a nerve with a lot of people. I guess this is the case for a couple of reasons; first of all if one is a product of public schooling (for example) one will tend to feel a sense of pride in identifying with the system they spent so much of their life as part of.
